New Woodsworth Residence

A new symbolic on the north gateway, which I am dreaming to live in for some 300 days, is officially available for the undergraduates in Woodsworth College now, sign, for UNDERGRADUATES only, not for me. Spending $32M and about 3 years on the project, Woodsworth enjoys the new rental collector now and afterwards. I bet they are going have the four-storey base rented for commercial purpose sooner or later, though it was guaranteed to be used for classrooms and meeting space. Obviously, it would be a huge waste in economical sense for a property on the most famous intersection, if the newest addition is just working for the academic. "The more resouces, the better will Woodsworth be." known by principal Mariel O'Neill-Karch. I hope they put more resources on building up its own culture, which should has more emphases on social justic and equity, which James Shaver Woodsworth advocated from coast to coast for his whole life, when they finally receive revenues from. As having the largest student body in U of T, Woodsworth should somewhat pay attention on creating and maintaining its own academic culture, letting the Woodsworth students to be proud of.

As of May 30th, I am going to move on campus, I would use the facilities more often. The department of Economics is working on fund rising and going to start a new project late this year, in hope for undergraduates and graduates to be more integrated, and office space for new faculty. I guess I'll finally have no chance to enjoy the expendition due to graduating earlier. As one of the students in the department, I am still looking forward to having the complex ASAP as do the faculties and stuffs.
